Am thinking of trying out magic so I read the rule book (always a good start lol) and looked around at a deck or two.
Found this on the net. I like the sound of it (I'm not greatly concerned with winning per se at this point in time, just getting an interesting deck to learn magic with would be grand...then maybe we will see about getting competitive).

We know,
Girls = Money x Time
We also know that Time is Money.
Thus,
Girls = Money x Money = (Money)^2
We also know that Money is the root of evil.
i.e. Money = root(Evil).
And therefore,
(Money)^2 = Evil = Girls.

It seems quite good. Many people tend to also like to add red as it lets you play cruel ultimatum which is a bomb and lightning bolt for cheap removal. You should also add 3 jace the Mind Sculptor if it is within your budget and maybe 1 or 2 jace beleren(a very often used tech now) to kill or stop your opponent from casting their own jace the mind scultpor.

For my trade list click the pic above. Right now after 4 Raging Ravine, 2 Chain Reaction and 3 All is Dust. Need them for this weekend's Games Day! Have some good cards(mostly type2 and edh stuff) so come check it out!

Jace? He is the planewalker huh?
I will think about Jace after I have learned how to play 
Cruel Ultimatium seems like an awesome card though.
"Target opponent sacrifices a creature, discards three cards, then loses 5 life. You return a creature card from your graveyard to your hand, draw three cards, then gain 5 life."
What would I take out for the red cards?
We know,
Girls = Money x Time

I suggest droping the sign in blood, add an extra land since this will raise your curve and 3 cruel ultimatum
I would try this manabase, may need tweaks after playtesting though
